# What data does a Marc collect when it is opened?

When a Marc is opened or closed, it reports only four data points:

- Marc ID: Identifies the brochure, not the person
- Time opened: Start of engagement
- Time closed: End of engagement
- Duration:  Time between open and close

 Marc does not record button presses, behavior, user identity, location, or data stored on a device.
